Best Self-Expelling Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
We suggest getting a robot mop and a vacuum that comes with an easy-to-use base station. This makes it simple to change or wash cleaning pads and emptying the water tank with dirty water.
Think about a device with Wi-Fi connectivity, so you can map your home and set automated or scheduled timers. You can also utilize features like vacuum switch or mop.
1. Roborock S7 Max Ultra
This powerful robot vacuum and mop is a true powerhouse. It cleans your floors, recognizes rug rugs, and then self-empties its own dustbin and water tanks. It also has a powerful suction and even dispensing detergent. All this is available with a price tag of $1200. It's also the most expensive robot mop and vacuum package I've reviewed.
The S7 Max Ultra is easy to install right out of the box. Once you plug it into the wall, it will prompt you to map out your home using sensors. Then, it will continue to use that data to stay clear of obstacles. In our tests, it was able to avoid getting caught on power cords and long curtains, as well as dog toys. It's not perfect and sometimes it is stuck on things like tangled cables or odd toys or books.
You can control the S7 Max Ultra via its smartphone app, which is where you'll find all the advanced features that set it apart from other robotic vacuums and mop. There are also room-specific mopping and cleaning settings as well as a schedule planner and power strength options for vacuuming and mopping. You can also integrate the S7 Max Ultra with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa to create a smart home. Its extensive feature set means the S7 Max Ultra can do almost anything a standard robot vacuum does but at less than half the price.

The S7 Max Ultra's ability to vacuum is impressive and it did a very great job of picking up pet hair, dirt, and other particles on carpet and hard floors. The automatic feature for emptying the dustbin worked perfectly during our tests, which was very reassuring. It also boasts 5100 Pa HyperForce power which is significantly greater than the 2,500Pa power of the S6MaxV and S7.
The S7 Max Ultra's mopping performance was good too, although not the best we've seen. It utilized an exclusive microfiber mop pad, which absorbs liquids and employs sonic vibrating technology to scrub your floors up to 3000 times per minute, which is a bit quicker than the X1 Omni's circular pads that spin at a speed of 180 revolutions per minute. The S7 Max Ultra's ReactiveAI 2.0 obstruction recognition system is extremely effective. In our tests, it never got stuck on anything, and it avoided curtains, power cords and other obstructions that could be a problem 100% of the time.
2. Narwal Freo
It is something that is shunned by many, yet it is necessary to keep your home tidy. It's also a messy and frequently stinky task, which can be a challenge to get done as it requires handling dirty water and dustbins, and ensuring that no debris or hair does not get stuck in the traps or brushes. Robots that vacuum and mop are now extremely popular. A lot of these machines require you to empty the dustbin, and wash and rinsing mop pads by hand. This can be a pain, especially if you need to do it a few times during the cleaning process or after each cleaning session. That is why we're happy to see that a number of companies are introducing self-emptying robots to make the whole process much more hassle-free.
The Narwal Freo is the latest version of this class of robotic cleaners and it comes with a host of new sensors, software, and hardware improvements engineered to keep it at the top of its game. The patented DirtSense Technology and Smart-Swing feature both work to better detect the surface that is being cleaned, and adjust the cleaning method based on the floor type. The Freo also registers dirtiness levels and automatically washes mops once they are full, which improves the efficiency of subsequent cleaning sessions by preventing returning to soiled areas.
The Freo is also a step forward over its predecessor in that it is controlled directly via the LCD touchscreen on its base station. This is in addition to the app for smartphones. This is the first robot vacuum and mop combination that has this feature. It's a welcome addition if you don't want to use the app. You can even optimize the route during a session using the controls on the LCD screen and ensure that the robot is doing what you would like it to do.
The Narwal Freo is also quiet when in suction mode, with the noise level being just 63dB. The Freo's maintenance process is not entirely hands-free, however. You'll need to clean the primary brush roll and the side brushes frequently.
3. Ecovacs Deebot T9+
The Ecovacs Deebot T9+ (available at The Good Guys for $1279) is one of the most self-emptying robot vacuums and mop combinations on the market. It can map your home, cleaning and mopping, while also detecting and staying clear of obstacles. It can even release an air freshener which is a cool feature.
It's easy to set up, utilizing the app to build an accurate map of your home that it utilizes to clean. The app lets you select specific rooms or areas that need to be cleaned. You can also set the time of day you'd like it to start cleaning, so that your floors are cleaned while you're away or asleep.
In our tests in our tests, the T9+ was very impressive when it came to navigating obstacles. It is known to take a shrewd route around the home. This usually meant that it ended up in the same place it had started cleaning minutes earlier. It wasn't often however it was enough to be noticeable and it is something worth taking note of.
The T9+ comes complete with a selection of accessories like the robot cleaner, docking station and an automatic emptying station. The mopping module and a replacement dustbin are sold separately.
Its upgraded navigation systems, mapping and obstacle detection are designed to ensure a spotless tidy home without interruptions. The upgraded 3D obstacle avoidance and detection technology recognises objects with precision to avoid collisions, entanglements or disruptions.
The Deebot T9+ can sweep, vacuum and mop at the same time. Your floor will look like it did when you first bought it. The disposable mopping pads are simple to attach and the microfiber fabric effectively absorbs dust, seals off stains and does not leave any residue. The large 2.5L auto-empty stations can store up to 30 days of trash without leaking. This makes it easy to keep your home tidy with minimum effort. The T9+ also features an upgraded 3000Pa vacuum motor that delivers powerful suction to ensure an efficient clean.
4. iRobot Combo j7+
The iRobot Combo j7+ is a great robot for cleaning floors. It's a mop and vacuum all in one and it comes with excellent obstacle avoidance and home navigation. It can map your home and clean areas, without hitting furniture or walls. It's also easy to make use of the app to define zones that need to be cleaned, or areas that you would like to avoid, as well as establish specific no-mop and no-sweep boundaries.
iRobot’s iAdapt technology 2.0 is an integral element that makes Combo j7+ smart. The front camera on most of the robots from iRobot is used to prevent hazards like pet waste and power cords. iAdapt 2.0 also allows the Combo J7+ robot to detect dirt levels and concentrate more on the areas.
When the Combo J7+ detects it is on a surface that must be cleaned, an arm of a robot with mop pad is lifted from beneath the vacuum. It then mops the floor until it detects that mopping pads are dry which takes around 90 seconds.
The Combo J7+ can also sense carpeting, which is nice for homes with carpeting and carpets. It doesn't try to push through the rug it will instead turn away if it feels it won't be able to get over the area without damaging it or the carpeting.
The Combo j7+ is easy to control using the mobile application, which is intuitive and well-designed. It works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa so you can begin cleaning with a voice. The only downside was the small water tank on the Combo J7+, which means you have to refill it frequently or limit the cleaning to smaller areas and run it more often in eco-mode.
Another issue is that the Combo J7+'s dust bin is small and you must empty it manually. I also discovered that the Combo j7+'s mop pads be less effective than those of other brands and that's a shame as it's a great combination robot.
